Grounding
In a world of thumping, racing and crashing, you are my haven. Your tiny body connects me to a realm of innocence. Embracing you feels like embracing truth - a rarity we have these days in a world full of lies and deception. Truth in your sounds, truth in your eyes, and truth in your gestures radiates from your body just like sun rays.
Will you ever mistake sunrays for light? Surely not. Just as the sun, with all its majesty, illuminates our mighty skies; you, with your bitty body, illuminate sincerity.
You are as true as earth itself. Embracing you is grounding. Inevitably, it all comes to an end. Energy shifts as a heap of perturbation clouds over us; reminding me that each day comes by to take away pints of your purity. I am adamant about denying that there is absolutely nothing I can do to prevent it. My embrace turns from grounding to protecting - from serenity to fear. I am holding on to you now to keep that truth, innocence, and purity from leaking, as the world inhales it. But who am I, compared to this powerful world?
